When do I have to pay?

- Home Breakdown - £35 excess if you do NOT have home cover

The catch appears to be that if you do not pay for the Home part of the insurance there is an excess - "£35 excess if you do NOT have home cover"
I am with BeSmart and during the fuel crisis in October I ran out of petrol on the way to the petrol station and was stranded. Called BeSmart and they wanted £160 to come out to me!!!!!!
Ditto, they left me stranded! No customer care on the phone at all. Cancelled my policy and went with a more reputable company.
It is free as they take the details but charge you nothing so as long as you cancel your diret debit before the 12 months are up then it is really free.
Is this too good to be true? I added home care and nationwide recovery ended up being like £4 a month but got no confirmation?
Not too sure about this, will only let you claim it if you put in your Bank Details for Direct Debit even though the balance is 0.00 and select to pay Annually!!!!
Whenever I try to read terms and conditions, error code, so wouldn’t take up offer on that basis
It kept timing out for me but I got through eventually but I didn't opt for any extras and it said that they will be in touch.
sandrataylor51 and now they have your details they will BOMBARD YOU ...MAKE SURE its what you want. Cos in a year they will treble cost and just take it out your account
LornaJordan I will cancel the direct debit in 11 months so they cannot take it and I can block any emails that they try and spam me with. They would be banking on people taking the extras out to cover theones like me who didn't add any.
LornaJordan So after two weeks, apart from the single email with the confirmation of the 12 months cover and terms and conditions, I have not had a single email since nor any phone calls from them, so they have not bombarded me with anything.

Either of these exclusions would enable them to get away with murder.
IF something looks to good to be true it usually is. Go into the small print and read. IF you dont take THIS and you don't take THAT.......leave it on the page folks..

The policy arrived today, nothing to worry about, as long as you follow their rules and remember to cance the direct debit before they try and renew it at full price in 12 months.
This is a great offer. They do take your bank details to set up a direct debit for the following year, but you can cancel that if you set up a reminder in your phone or calender
Been with greenflag for 5 years not had any issues with them and it doesn't even matter If I'm not in my own car it can be any car that I'm in
How can they advertise it as Totally FREE when it's clearly not. Huge rip off .....
How can it be a rip off when it really is free if you do not add any of the extras. You get the cover it states that costs you nothing but a couple of minutes of your time to fill the form in, so unless you are a lawyer or a consultant hired by some government organisation at hundreds, or even thousands of pound an hour and count your own private time as being chargeable then it is free.

It's a rip off because if all the excesses, have you actually read all the small print?
The excesses only apply if you do not folow their rueles, as in most things even if you pay for them. You can't keep saying that something is a rip if because they will charge you if you do not stick to the terms and conditions that are clearly stated when you sign up for what is their FREE deal. Even if you pay for some of the addons then no doubt there will be certain terms amd conditions that apply to those too.
Terms and conditions will have to be read and any small print. On the whole it looks a decent deal…nice little find and thank you for sharing
