Advent calendars seem to be big money nowadays, and there's no guarantee that you're not going to be disappointed with the contents. That's why this year I am buy these Fillable Advent Calendars from Hobbycraft. They are £5 each, but you can fill them with all kinds of goodies - absolutely anything you want really.

It's not too early to start thinking about advent calendars, if you want to save yourself money, or if you want to make it really special.

These Hobbycraft Fillable Advent Calendars allow you to pop something nice behind each of the 24 doors. It means that you can create your own theme - one of my kids loves Harry Potter, the other Minecraft and so on.

I know for a start that I can pick up some cheap bits and bobs that the kids will love from Home Bargains, and other discount stores, so I can make them the best advent out there - without spending £25-£50.
