Our Let's Learn Fractions toy is designed to enhance your child's understanding of fractions. Designed for little hands, this fantastic toy teaches children the concept of parts and wholes. Through exploratory play, children will recognise that fractions are equal parts that make up a whole. Our segments are clearly labelled with the fraction they represent to further deepen your child's understanding. The fractions included on this board are halves, thirds and quarters. The base is labelled with the spelling of the included fractions.
Visually, this learning toy is highly eye-catching. Each 'whole' is a different colour for easy colour recognition to enhance the learning experience.
When picking up and placing the segments, children will be exercising fine motor skills which will help them in later life in activities such as writing.
calleighisabell do they start learning about fractions at reception? Wooow hpfanatik we could get it for the little ones
Thomas18 hi,im sure the curriculum is the same everywhere they learn half's like half of a pizza and that it goes together and makes a whole or 1 then quarters but when they get to year 1 my one certainly did his a young year one started reception at 4 his now year one and 5 and his online learning is to mearn 1/4th 2/4ths 3/4ths 4/4ths .. I know shocking but handy if it's a game for them less complicated
calleighisabell I'm only surprised because I've started school when I was 7 and we didn't learn anything about fractions in year 1 (in Romania)
Thomas18 that's crazy isn't I do think it's very young , and how different schools start different ages and strategies thanks for the reply
calleighisabell that was 30 years ago. I think things changed a bit in Romania as well, but I still think starting school so early as they do here in UK is a bit too much
This is a lovely gift, could really help a parent explain fractions to a child and a good price too thanks for sharing.
