How to Get a FREE MOT at Halfords (With ANY Purchase)
Today Halfords has launched an offer, designed to help save motorists money and keep our roads safer. By buying any product from a Halfords shop they can bag themselves a free £54.85 MOT from over 300 Halfords Autocentres across the UK: https://www.halfords.com/free-mot. It can be redeemed at any time up to 13 months after being purchased.
The offer applies to any product sold at a Halfords shop. It means that a customer could buy a £1.99 Little Trees Air Freshener and then claim their MOT for free from Halfords Autocentres. To redeem it in store customers will be given a voucher email and asked to fill in their details online, while online shoppers will be given a leaflet with a voucher code with their order.
The initiative runs from 10th Sept until 14th October, and coincides with the second busiest month of the year for MOT tests. This month will see nearly half a million cars require their first MOT. September 2015 saw 462,517 cars hit the road for the first time, and with those cars now turning three years old they are due their first MOT.

i am too late bought over a weekend something in halfords and booked MOT ,and now this offer should have waited till today lol
Worth going back & buying a little something then it says the voucher lasts for 13 months so you could use it for next year (if you remember - knowing me I wouldn't, lol)
ruskin I put things on my mobile phone in the calendar with the reminder for a month before so I have time to sort things out.
Great offer! Shame I only recently got an MOT but will save for next year! Thanks for sharing.
really? that's one of the most generous offers I have ever seen with regards to cars and vehicles! definitely a great offer for anyone who needs an MOT
Brilliant! I always have my MOT done at Halfords anyway, but I wouldn't have seen this offer without you, Tom! Thanks a lot! x
I am wary of them telling you that there are several things wrong with the car before it will pass an MOT. Unless you know about cars, you have to accept what they say.
I agree with you but to be honest this can happen in any garage or other 'brand' name place that does MOT's. I am going to use it as a pre-MOT and then possibly take it to my local garage.
paulineadams222 sorry I have only just seen your reply. That is a good idea, unless it passes first time (!).
don't like this one , mot and repairs adds up , Halfords want to
make money , use it as a pre mot then take the car away . get it
repaired save cash that way
Got this in an email am going to give it a go. If your car fails can you take it somewhere else?
cheapest place is any council ran garages / mot centres as they don't do repairs all they do is diagnose so they don't try and sell you things to replace
Wow this is the first I've ever heard of this. But it's definelty a great deal. Thank you very much op!
Its a joke! I bought some car wax that I needed and they told me they did not have any vouchers. Also I wanted the Free air con check but they said they had no-one there that could do it.
I would contact their support team with your receipt and explain the situation.
In-store, the cashier was supposed to get you to fill in an electronic form, and an email was supposed to be sent to you with a digital voucher:
I'm an in-store customer
1
Visit a Halfords retail store and purchase any product. Use our store locator to find your nearest store.
2
Go into store and purchase your products. A colleague will load an electronic form at the till and ask you for your email address, postcode and vehicle registration to qualify.
3
You will then recieve an e-mail from Halfords, containing a voucher for your free MOT. Voucher can take up to 7 days to be emailed to you after purchase. You may only claim your free MOT once you have received your voucher.
