Thanks, just ordered one! The set up process was a little long, you have to download an app, give your details, top up, take a photo of identity... then order the card, but with free delivery it makes it a steal. Perfect for holidays, I only wish I ordered one sooner!
It’s a good card. Used it in korea and you get the interbank rate of exchange. Only some issues using it with certain vendors, but widely accepted
From what I understand and have experienced so far, there is no ongoing charge. During my set up process, I had to topup £10 into the account before I could order the physical card.
Rockman So i could travel anywhere for free even when the uk are not in the eu
abedweather55 This card allows you to use abroad whether it's in Europe EU-free, or EU-locked. Or just anywhere else.
It's fee-free but using a credit card can be a better option as you can get cashback in return.
Rockman Thank You Very Much. I will order this card and will see what will happen
abedweather55 It's free but you need to at leas top it up with £10. You can withdraw the money back to your bank account, back and forth when you want.
Rockman Oh. Ok . Well Thank YOU VERY MUCH FOR TELLING THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Are there really no fees from spending in other countries? Can you spend the £10 you top up? Anyone else used it before?
There is a free account and a paid account, I have the free one I topped up the £10 to get the card which I could spend after. No fees for spending in other countries I just came back holiday last week I used the card while away with no fees charged, I can withdraw up to £200 a month from a cashmachine with no fee I never withdrew any money from the machines, but I know one of my friends who have used this without any fees being charged.
This is a good card but credit cards that offer cashback rewards can be even better since you can get some dough back. A shame that Amex hasn't made a fee-free card but wouldn't matter too much since many still don't accept it.
Excellent. My parents have just booked a cruise today, and I wanted to help with spending money for them as their pensioners, but no way would they take money off me. This is perfect for them. I can add money onto it each month and then give it them before they go. Great find.
Keep persevering, l had the same but success after 5 attempts at verification. Took 10 mins
