The Prince of Wales check was popularized by British king Edward VII, who adorned his hunting garments with it for stalking deer in the Scottish highlands. An adaptation of glen check, or glen plaid, the pattern is made up of two dark and two light stripes alternating with four dark and four light stripes to create a crossing pattern of irregular checks. The material for our blazer is constructed in the Biella region of Italy, and the flattering, slim fit give it a contemporary feel. A true preppy icon!
