The Kato Base 29 from Ghost rolls fast and stable across all-terrains aboard 29" wheels and features a durable and lightweight frame that's equipped with great components. This hardtail mountain bike is ideal for touring, trail riding and general fitness cycling. Also, Ghost has kitted it out with a 100mm-travel SR Suntour suspension fork and a Shimano Tourney 3x7-Speed groupset with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. And, it rolls upon Rodi Excalibur XC 19 cross country wheels wrapped in high-grip Mitas Ocelot tyres.
You would do better to consider something at Halfords, this bike has a low end Tourney rear derailleur and the stanchions on the forks are only 28mm so its a fairly light duty mountain bike. Maybe ok for young children and light adults off-road. There is no way that Tourney rear derailleur is going to keep the chain tight when taking bumps off-road. Also factor in lower weight limits and shorter warranties compared to Halfords and you will have to setup the bike yourself and check everything unless you pay a bike shop to check it for you which adds a lot to costs.
