Over one million rail tickets will be slashed by up to 50% as the government and rail industry launch the first-of-its-kind Great British Rail Sale.
Tickets go on sale from 19 April (book by 2 May) with discounted tickets available on journeys from 25 April to 27 May.
Just buy yours from train companies as per usual. Certain routes have their First Class tickets on sale as well. Promotional tickets are limited, so be quick. Once tickets are gone, they’re gone...selling fast at the moment.
This offer can be coupled with railcard or/and train operators' discounts (like LNER Perks credit), don't forget to apply them to get better pricing!
Ticket type: Rail Sale Advance Single/Great British Rail Sale.

Great find my daughter loves going 9n a train. Can feel a couple of random trips coming on lol. Thanks for sharing
Ooh this looks good, wonder if I can get my commute a bit cheaper if I break up the journey some how
studentgirl123 definitely! I bought a set of tickets by splitting the journey, much cheaper! Paid £3 instead of £12.4 (normally would have been priced £17) - note that the advance ticket T&Cs still apply, so cannot start, break, resume or end at any intermediate station except for change to/from connecting trains. Providing you hold valid tickets that cover your journey, that would work out nicely
Yay! That’s great news I need some get away and it’s even good timing now Thanks for sharing it!

Good to know that there are any train tickets for sale;) Specially if someone is planning to travel by train soon;)
Excellent offer if you have a trip planned and can travel off peak, and if there is somewhere you have always wanted to go, now might be the time to do it also (and as others have said, break your journey and save even more).
Nice one.
Looked for us in may and it's still the same price oh well hope some people get a great deal thank you for sharing
Looks a great deal, anything that makes travelling cheaper has got to be a good thing . Thank you for sharing

Hi - thank you so much for posting this deal. We have included this in our morning broadcast to share with fellow deal hunters!
Thanks, My son will absolutely love this! He is off and on trains everyday, taking long journeys filming for his youtube channel. I can see him using this loads
What a brilliant deal and a great find. I am looking to go to London and then onto Portsmouth for a few days…what great timing. Thank you for sharing
Great for those who can get or have got them. I'm gutted it's £130 and change Birmingham New St to Newcastle return trip
MistaMo consider splitting up the journey. Birmingham to Stafford to Manchester to Newcastle. The only downside is it might take slightly longer!
anonymousbuyer Thanks, brings it down to £105. But nowhere near the purported prices in said giveaway
MistaMo that's unlucky. I suppose it does depends on timings as well. Some popular routes sold out yesterday, on its first day
mista53 that's right, I got myself 3 day trips, each leg costs £1.50. 'Scenic' routes included as well like Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle and Settle to Carlisle or even Manchester to Sheffield.
anonymousbuyer I have also made a killing on this offer from Northern Rail, saved about £80.
A very good thing for anyone who uses the trains regularly as my friend Viv has had to do with the West Midlands Metro Trams not running again until at least the end of May this year. I will definitely be mentioning this to her and see her face light up with anonymousbuyer thanks for sharing this deal with everyone and happy travels.
mtabbanor sadly they do not offer discounts for all stops but you could try searching for stations like Norwich.
