You can get 4 full size bars for £1 in any shop so you could get 40 bars for £10 so not such a good price at 27 bars for £20.98. For that you can get 84 bars of chocolate.
No offence to the OP but it's over priced. Just as an example I priced up a basket on poundland for £21 (Inc delivery) and could easily get 2kgs worth of chocolate. People just because it's on Amazon it doesn't mean it's "an amazing deal thanks so much for sharing"
This is fast becoming a thoroughly untrustworthy website, people assuming that just because something's posted it's a bargain. Like 95% of the postings, this certainly isn't.
What this site needs is a downvoting system like Hot UK Deals to sort the wheat from the chaff. As it stands, it's useless for finding bargains. Like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Completely agree, I think either people see the price discounted and assume straight away it's an amazing price and blindly like or new sellers from Amazon with no customer feedback post these deals on here to get people buying straight away.
100 percent! I recently put a chat "website improvements". some of the responces blow my mind, it's definitely not looking very trustworthy@doct
doct The problem is, people get points for posting. The more points they get, the higher voucher they can get. People are posting regardless if there is a deal to be had. I have viewed many items that are not even reduced.
Wazza778jk1 Yup - I'm giving up on this site. You just believe any of the deals any more - complete waste of time. It's worse than that - people are getting conned. Time to report it to some of the consumer websites I think.
Thank you very much for your feedback, it is appreciated and welcome. We are always open to feedback and it's feedback such as yours that helps improve Latest Deals and shape it going forwards.
Improving the quality of deals, whilst providing members the freedom to post and engage with what they personally feel is good, is a consistent challenge of balance.
Sometimes people will "like" a post because they enjoy the product.
In our newest Latest Deals app improvements, which you may prefer to the website, we have introduced the ability to filter deals to a greater degree, including by price.
For example, you can search for what you're looking for and filter it by retailers you personally trust.
My colleague Kelsey has responded to your Chat post as well as some others on the idea of down voting. I apologise for the copy and paste but I want to share what's already been written here too:
>
"We've often considered having an ability to down vote a deal but have always ended up concluding that we prefer having likes and instead encouraging people to leave a comment if they feel the deal isn't good value.
The idea behind asking people to comment is to avoid anonymous, unsubstantiated down votes - a complaint we heard from people using similar platforms, such as hotukdeals. We felt a comment that articulated the point e.g. "This isn't a good deal, it's available at Argos for £10 less [link]" or "The RRP looks made up, it was half the price 10 days ago" is far more valuable. And the hope is that if people comment then other members will see and perhaps decide to withhold their like.
We are of course always still open to feedback on this approach and we'll always take steer from the community as to how Latest Deals should work.
I think a change in the pipeline - to experiment with removing points for liking posts - should help improve things quite a bit."
As the comments on this post are now going off-topic, I encourage anyone interested on the topic of website improvements to share their feedback and thoughts here:
https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/chat/site-cant-trusted-downvote-button-needed-collapses
And I'll close the comments on this post. I have also added a price history graph to the deal post above for other members to see.
charlenema99366 Will you actually be ordering this or was that comment just to gain points?
I'm pleased people are waking up on here. This isn't a deals community. It's a marketing website.
Nice selection of sweets, quite a few of my favourites, so I think I will buy this for myself 1
What we need is a 'Dislike' button to provide some balance on so-called 'deals' like these confectionery bundles which are not sold by Amazon and are ALL an absolute rip-off aimed at gullible, vulnerable people.
Agree, very over priced. I guess it's a good mix of chocolate to send someone.... But I would appreciate more if you spent the same money and order me a full supermarket delivery for that price haha
Good mix of chocolate, but its not worth this money.Just go to the shop and buy all different 4packs of your favourite chocolate.
As much as i love chocolate you can normally get 4 bars for £1 sometimes cheaper so it's worth looking round. This would make a great gift if sent direct though and i would deffo love to recieve them. Thanks for sharing
I love chocolate but I still can't work it out if its a worth buying them or in Individual packs
I think this would be cheaper to just buy them individually but if you are too lazy to do that then this is a great idea
