Great price for a 16oz one even a farty piddly size in supermarkets are £3/£4 upwards! so these are same as two of those if they’re 8oz ones
Well, there's not a lot you an say about a slab of meat. Probably why their own description was lacking.
I just got home with the alternative 12oz sirloin daddy for £5 as rump not my prefered cut. Looks good on 1st impressions.
Try aldi good value.
As a trained butcher many moons back in the trade rump was always the butchers choice.
Yes tried them all from the supermarkets but aldi best out of the bunch.
My only professional comment is the cutting of the steaks.
Gristle and connective tissue is not trimmed.
Aldi must purchase a huge amount of steaks each week and with there buying power this should be addressed.
IanWilliam94819 thanks for the info, was going to treat myself to this ,dont think i ll bother,i do like their frozen fruit though.
Wow 16oz for £5 is cheap I agree Iceland don't always have the best quality meat but I haven't tried this brand from there before so I'll be giving it a go if there are any left when I go to town Monday.
I agree about Aldi too by far the best out of the budget range when it comes to meat and now they do free range chicken too!
I live in a small rural town on the Isle of Axholme in North Lincolnshire so tend to try shop from our local farmers and butchers where I can and as a result eat a lot of chicken livers, goat, offal and rabbit because they are cheap and buy steak etc when it's on offer (my butcher does 1kg rump for £10 roughly once a month) but I do sometimes venture to one of the bigger towns and bulk the weekly shop out with a quick whip round Iceland, Aldi and or lidl.
I always buy my fresh meat from local butchers with that option not available at minute I've found Iceland to be best of the rest
Umm, never found a decent steak in a supermarket yet nor in a pub! But guess at a fiver even if not great the dog won't complain!
