Ikea is one of those stores that you need 8 hours in to get around everything. I don’t make the trip too often, but when I do I stock up on everything I need. We have cats, so they lint rollers are a must in our house. The glassware is superb! We throw the odd party and we’re always asked about where we get our cocktail glasses from. Great quality items at very affordable prices. Highly recommended
I’ve been to ikea a few times and I just think there products are cheap and basic. I brought a few glasses they all broke. I brought a cube shelving unit and it moves side to side, I don’t see the hype, prices can be abit steep. I think delivery is costly aswell.
Although I think that many of their products are of a very good quality and seriously durable, the delivery side of the business leaves a lot to be desired. I recently looked back over the last five deliveries and realised that all of them have been pretty sluggish. Over the past 20 months they've had the chance to get their deliveries fine-tuned and yet four out of the five orders took 12 days and the most recent 15 days. Their website still states that parcels are delivered between 1 - 3 days and no adjustment has been made to the wording so it's a serious fail. The two emails received were the order receipt at point of purchase and the Click & Collect notification 14 days later for the following day. Even C&C didn't make the process any quicker. There was no further information when I signed in to my account. I understand the teething problems for last year and that we all had to be patient but the situation has not improved. The moral of this review is to try the Next Day Delivery or join the queues, shop in-store then perhaps make it a little more tolerable with a meatball treat after.
