Golfforall perhaps the commenter should share their views with dunhelm considering this is the actual photo they use when selling the product of this size. As like most websites which do exactly the same thing. Unfortunately I have no jurisdiction over the images they use to sell their items!!! But the commenter has a choice not to be so rude

SelinaRyles As the poster of the deal would it not be incumbent upon you to state " the deal I have posted is obviously not the size of the image I have posted " I'm sure I would do that rather than mislead the members . Not my "deal" - yours ! hardly accurate ! Instead of "click and pasting " you can easily add your own description to your deal ? ie

this is a 250cm + image , the deal posted is for a much smaller doormat sized rug - or is that too much bother ? The image you have posted is of a rug costing £206.50 ! - Are you not ashamed for misleading members ?

Golfforall Hahaha like every website does that!!! It's common sense . The size of the rug is on the deal . I'm sure those who buy rugs online actually measure then before purchasing them. Your argument is none sensical. How about you write to every company like dunhelm , wayfair , studio 24 and ask them to show pictures of every size of rug they sell. Stop being ridiculous

SelinaRyles So you are not embarrassed by your totally misleading deal ? You can't deny it's misleading surely ? As stated would not have hurt to put an explanation of the size into your deal ? Still if you are happy to mislead members (and that doesn't take much doing ! ) that's down to you and your conscience .

Golfforall I'm not embarrassed at all - embarrassed for using the image that dunhelm uses to sell this product ? You must be very bored this evening. My conscience is just fine thankyou for your concern though. The size is clearly stipulated on the post as it is on the website.

Please let me know how you get on when you email your views to every company that sells rugs online and we will see if they also change all their websites to accommodate YOU. The size is clearly on the post it just seems you want to pick an argument with anybody that will listen. In all the years I have bought a rug like most people I look at the size and then measure the area where I want it. I'm not silly enough to just look at the photos

SelinaRyles Perhaps you are an intelligent person ? But you surely have to accept that your "Headline picture " of a rug of that size from Dunelm for £13.30 is tempting . To be fair that is what caught my attention . I try to look after my fellow members on here and would not ever consider posting such a misleading picture /deal without making it clear that the deal is for a doormat size rug .

I'm not arguing , its deception - end of . Many of our members are not as savvy as us so to me it is incumbent upon us "more savvy " members to be as open and transparent with our deals as possible .

Golfforall completely disagree as I said maybe you should aim your comments to the company that is selling the product. Every website that sell rugs use a stock picture of the rug its common sense that the size is going to differ dependent on which one you order. This is the picture that is used by dunhelm to sell this particular product.. if you are unhappy with that you should contact them as directing your rudeness at me and saying that I am misleading people and intentionally deceiving them is tantamount to slander. So please carry on !

Good for you , you obviously check things before you buy - do you not realise that many of our less savvy members do not ?

I am on the side of our less savvy members "Always" . In my opinion it is incumbent upon "Deal Posters" to make their deal totally transparent , perhaps by adding clarification .

At the end of the day what does it matter ? The less savvy members could lose a significant amount ( To them ) of money, the "Deal Poster" will gain about 10p of Amazon Voucher points .

Golfforall so do you have this argument with every website that sell rugs then or is it just me for posting the deal? Companies must be inundated with people who order rugs for low prices and complain because they didn't check the measurements and just looked at the pictures . I didn't take the photo I am using THEIR photo . I have not seen a website yet that photographs every individual size of rug !

As a matter of interest what size rug were you looking for ? A room sized rug (as pictured ) £205.60, or a doormat sized rug for £13.30 ? Would you have looked twice had the "Deal price" been £205.60 ? - Be Honest .

Golfforall I was looking for a rug to go in front of .y fire place and yes this size is perfect and it saves me £20-£30 for the same size and style in other stores

SelinaRyles No I don't even want or need a rug (of any size ) , but I'm sure there were many LD members (Less savvy than us ?) who were misled into thinking that they maybe could ? The whole point of your misleading deal perhaps ?

Golfforall we are going round in circles and to be honest im getting bored of it now . Yes completely my fault. I designed the dunhelm website. I took the photos ... decided how THEY should market their product and then posted it here . I also market rugs on lots of other company websites who advertise their products in exactly the same way via a drop down menu to choose the size of the rug the customer wants. If you didn't want a rug you must be very bored to spend the whole night discussing them. Anyway it's a great price for a rug of that size from this particular store which sells quality items so I'm standing by it . Please refrain from commenting again

Golfforall you seem to forget that everything YOU have wrote tonight is in black and white and can be read by latest deals. It is you that has been derogatory and rude about everyone. It is you that has made derogatory comments saying it is easy to mislead the people on here.
