Champneys Springs
Surrounded by water walkways and 31 acres of open parkland and with a focus on bright and airy spaces, this Leicestershire bolthole a half hour from Leicester itself is truly an escape from everyday life. The spa offers over 80 choices ranging from conventional massages and exfoliation therapies to exotic treatments such as Cupping and Russian Honey massages. Beyond the treatment rooms, facilities include a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, Jacuzzi and steam room. Rooms hold a flatscreen TV and DVD player, complimentary Wi-Fi, tea and coffee, and look onto the grounds. Champneys Springs - one of the most modern resorts in the quartet - trumpets a shiny TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
Champneys Henlow
Described as a place "where the stars step out of the limelight and into something more comfortable", Champneys Henlow is a delectable spa destination in Bedfordshire with relaxation in its roots as a 50-year-old health and well-being farm.
A stickler for doing things right, Champneys Henlow is old-school hospitality at its best, with traditional decor, a world-class spa and immaculate gardens. Set in a 16th-century manor house within 150 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Hiz, it's an idyllic spot to completely switch off and recharge your batteries. Make the most of the pristine spa facilities, the fully equipped gym, rainbow of fitness classes, and complimentary robe hire and some flips flops to keep. Rooms have a flatscreen TV and DVD player, with some looking onto the River Hiz.
Champneys Forest Mere
Originally a hunting lodge and keeper’s house for the Royal Forest of Woolmer, the resort offers an idyllic spot to unwind in. Part of the South Downs National Park, secluded Champneys Forest Mere is surrounded by 160 acres of enchanting woodland and a peaceful lake and lies an easy 10 minutes from Liphook train station. Indulge in a soothing massage, learn the art of tai chi or enjoy a healing therapy. For something a little more active, you can pack your days with fitness and well-being classes. The pampering resort also has tennis courts, cycling and walking paths and a nearby golf course, the Liphook Golf Club.
The spa here is focused on providing luxurious treatments, fitness instruction and alternative health therapies. Brave the British elements and take a dip in the outdoor pool, try your hand at tai chi or choose a specialist healing therapy like reiki. From aromatherapy body wraps to bamboo massages, Champneys Forest Mere has it covered. Rooms hold bathrobes and slippers, complimentary Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, and a flatscreen TV with DVD player.
Champneys Tring
Opened in 1925 as a health spa, Champneys Tring offers an unrivalled combination of rural rambles, sublime spa treatments and healthy eating. Sitting on 170 acres of exquisitely maintained land in Hertfordshire, this famous flagship is a French-style Rothschild mansion that boasts all the period grandeur you might expect from one of the world's most prestigious families.
The state-of-the-art spa offers a wide selection of treatments administered by highly trained staff with the use of iconic Champneys products, plus the newly added relaxation hideaway, mani and pedi salon and a dedicated Well-being and Detox Centre - the first of its kind in the UK. There are also a number of fitness and exercise classes for you to take part in during your stay and training experts on hand at all times to assist you.
At this historic resort, you can take a guided walk around the grounds and the surrounding Chiltern countryside, play a game of tennis, croquet or unwind over a leisurely game of billiards. Rooms have been specifically designed to encourage a sense of calm and help you relax, and feature a flatscreen TV and DVD player, complimentary Wi-Fi and tea and coffee facilities.
