Introduction to Syd Barrett

This reissue, priced at £17.30, collects tracks by Syd Barrett alongside early Pink Floyd material in the same compilation — the 2010 set that first brought those recordings together. It’s presented as a straightforward compilation rather than a new studio album.

• Executive production overseen by David Gilmour, who previously co-produced Barrett’s The Madcap Laughs and produced Barrett.
• Five tracks were remixed at Astoria Studios by Damon Iddins and Andy Jackson, including "Octopus", "She Took A Long Cool Look", "Dominoes" and "Here I Go".
• David Gilmour contributed bass guitar to the remixed version of "Here I Go".
• Pink Floyd’s "Matilda Mother" appears in a refreshed 2010 mix.
• The release mirrors the 2010 compilation’s goal of uniting Barrett solo material and early Pink Floyd tracks for listeners and collectors.

If you’re interested in Syd Barrett’s solo work or early Pink Floyd history, this reissue offers remixed versions and a single-package overview of those related recordings.
