Wait, so if it's £10 cheaper than everywhere else then why is the RRP £54.99?

Because a RRP is the 'recommended retail price', i.e. the recommended sale price normally determined by the manufacturer, also referred to as the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) or the Suggested Retail Price (SRP).

The RRP is the only constant price (i.e. one that does not, and cannot, change) that shoppers can reliably use to evaluate a discount against. And even that’s not 100% of the time as some retailers occasionally get the RRP wrong by accident or design.

Retailers own ‘Was’ prices are usually not the same as the RRP and can go up and down like a yoyo. Some retailers have ‘Was’ prices that are actually higher than the manufacturers RRP. Buyer beware.

In addition some retailers adjust prices - sometimes several times a day - on sites like Amazon using automated re-pricing tools that use rules and algorithms to automatically adjust prices based on inputs that the seller or retailer sets. On Amazon the tool is called ‘Automate Pricing’.

On Latest Deals the “Before Discount Field" for Deal Posts is named: Original price / RRP.

In this case:

  1. The RRP is £54.99
  2. Most retailers are selling it at about £42.50
  3. CoolShop are selling it at £32.50

Johnny Well, if you mention "cheaper £10 than everywhere else" and then state a different RRP price then it just doesn't make sense. Retailers don't charge £54.99 for it anymore.

It's just false advertisement to have the RRP set so high since the savings are not that much. But hey, don't mind me. When another user complains about it then you'll notice it.

Rockman the RRP is set by the manufacturer, not by me. There is no false advertisement you are talking nonsense.

Also read the second sentence of my post again. Doh!

Johnny I'm talking nonsense?

So if the RRP of a PS4 was set at £349.99 that would be fine then according to you. No, that's not the RRP anymore. The RRP fluctuates as time goes by. We've already had this conversation but you keep pretending that using the original RRP is perfectly acceptable when retailers don't charge that amount anymore.

A customer buying the game at £32.50 doesn't save £22.49 (RRP mentioned as £54.99) but as you primarily stated, £10 or less.

By the way, your post about the RRP is irrelevant because your title in its entirety proves the point.

Rockman Yes nonsense

The RRP of this game has not changed. Total drivel.

Time you stopped pointing fingers Rockman.
