Don’t get me started AlcioneTD, it’s gorgeous with added chorizo and chilli flakes. Also a baked pepper & agree crusty bread/roll is best. Yum!
Yes yes yes yes yes.....
Break out the baguette, slather on the butter, pour the generous glass of wine and stuff yourself rigid.
God l love this cheese......
Stapmevitals tell me about it. My concoction above is my favourite dish. I loveeeee Camembert, must add the drink next time
Try it on hot buttered toast too.
Sounds unlikely, but when you bite into it and exhale, the full flavour is realized, as long as the cheese is mature.
Every mouthful is sublime. ivenailedit
Stapmevitals wow, I thought I really loved Camembert but you really really love it. Will give your suggestion a try
Tried to get this today, but the price was £2.30.
I assume, therefore, that the above price is for online orders only.... Boo.
Nope, I was instore yesterday evening approx 7pm & price was still £1.50. Also link shows £1.50 for instore & online. Maybe your store hasn’t changed the label. Hope you find Stapmevitals
Thanks ivenailedit. for the heads-up.
I will check back later, and ask the question of the store staff. (I hope you, at least, managed to score some.)
Stapmevitals will be going back either tomorrow or Monday to buy some more, as expect deal to last until this Tuesday or the next ((don’t know when started but usually end by Wednesday). Good Luck!
Stapmevitals still £1.50 as bought more yesterday. Hope you‘ve now got some. Was as ever delicious
Morning@ivenailedit. (who has truly lived up to their name)
Thanks for your good wishes, but it's still no go for me. Tried Monday, and this morning but still £2.30. I then asked why the price was different.
As it's a smaller store, they class it as a "convenience store", so price it accordingly. So that told me!
Bum!!
Now that explains it Stapmevitals, as couldn’t understand. Tried to buy something for family member in Tesco Express, but not on offer in there only bigger stores. Suppose that’s how they make profit. Good news is Camembert offer should last until next Tuesday
Yes it confused me too, as they often have special offers in store. Although l haven't seen any for a while, but then l suppose at the moment, we need them, more than they need us.
Lesson learnt.
