My mother has this chromebook. She bought it from Amazon warehouse when they had either 20 or 30% off warehouse items. I think she paid about £96 but it was a return. The screen is a little small so the text size has to be increased a bit which means more scrolling on the page but this also makes it lovely and compact and easy to move about. Fantastic battery life although not quite as good as her last larger chromebook that probably beats its by a couple of hours. However compared to windows laptops a very long time. I think she gets between 6 and 8 hours between charges. Maybe charges it twice a week. It's a fast nippy Chromebook with no issues in use and construction is excellent. I think personally I would rather have a larger screen though at 14", I feel that is the sweet spot in screen size for a chromebook.
BonzoBanana we got my son one for Christmas last year, it's so fast to start up and download all the bits he wants. I agree coming from having a 17.2" laptop, the screen looks tiny to me but he is used to a 7" tablet so is big to him! Great for surfing the web, playing app games and kids homework and lightweight too.
