This deal will probably only appeal to collectors and the likes, HD-DVD was part of the "HD Format War" before it was decided whether companies would stick with HD-DVD (Toshiba) or Blu-ray (Sony). Turns out Blu-ray won the competition and now it's the one used worldwide.

A couple of notes about HD-DVD:

• HD-DVDs are region-free.
• HD-DVDs include subtitles and dubs even if not made for the exact region/continent (tends to be kept separated on other formats).
• HD-DVDs included remastered footage of movies and series on 1080p.

Xbox 360's HD-DVD Player can be used as a CD/DVD Reader for a PC if in case it doesn't have one.
