PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A unique and stylish jewellery cabinet, handmade using sustainable mango wood by talented artisans in India. The fair trade jewellery cabinet has two cupboard sections at each side which both contain two hooks for necklaces, along with three drawers in the middle for rings, earrings and smaller pieces.

Mango trees are fast growing and typically farmed for fruit in India. Once they are no longer suitable for commercial farming the wood can be sold and provides an additional source of income for the farmers.

The mango wood jewellery cabinet is made by Aspiration, a fair trade organisation based in Delhi. Their aim is to organise groups of skilled and semi-skilled artisans and help bring them up from poverty to be able to support themselves with a stable income, and to become self-independent artisans in their own community.
