McDonalds Pass On VAT Cut - 30p Off Happy Meals / 40p Off Extra Value Meals
McDonalds has announced that they will be passing on the VAT rate cut with effect from tomorrow (15th July) on Take Away and Drive through orders but not McDelivery
Prices will be dropped with 30p off a Happy Meal, 40p off Extra Value Meals and coffee reduced from £1.39 to only 99p and 50p off breakfast meals too.
The VAT charged on food and drinks is changing from 20% to 5% as announced last week in Rishi Sunak's mini budget to help get the economy going again after the Coronavirus pandemic.
The prices will stay low until January 2021 and it means the price of a Big Mac will be the lowest since 2015
There are currently only 4 branches open for eating in and hopefully more will follow soon and might even be in the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme which would be nice for families.
Worth saying though that some McDonalds are run by franchises and they might not pass on the full % reduction so please check the prices of your local on the My McDonalds App before going to see the up to date prices
