What is Monsoon?

Monsoon is a lifestyle brand that enriches everyday life with natural beauty, positivity and endless discovery. The heart of what they do is hand-craft and their Artisan collection showcases age-old hand-craft techniques as well as traditions.

The company started in started at a stall on Portobello Road, London during the 70s when founder Peter Simon, pursued his new passion for gorgeous bohemian-inspired pieces with hand-printed, hand-woven and crochet design details.

The first Monsoon store opened in Beauchamp Place three years later which featured collections of clothes created with hand-loomed cotton and silk fabrics organic vegetable dyes and artisan block-printing methods.

Ever since its birth, the company has worked with craftspeople in villages and small communities that wanted trade and not aid to provide them with viable independence. The Monsoon Accessorize Trust was founded in 1994. The Trust aids disadvantaged women and children all across Asia by providing them with education, healthcare and income generation projects.

• 1995 – First Children’s Wear range was launched.
• 1999 – Monsoon Home was launched.
• 2000 – monsoon.co.uk and accessorize.com was launched.
• 2007 – The company was honoured with the Queen’s Award for International Trade.
• 2010 – Monsoon and Accessorize was launched on Social Media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

How do I return an item to Monsoon?

Returns Policy

Monsoon accepts returns as long you do the following:

• Send the items exactly as you received them in a new and unused condition. You will not be given any refund if the seal is broken.
• Return within 30 days of receipt, 14 days for outlet or sale pieces.
• Include despatch note as proof of purchase.

Orders made with PayPal must be returned to their warehouse by post or Hermes ParcelShop and not taken into store at the following address:

The company does not offer a free returns service for international customers

The following items must only be returned to us by courier/post and not to their stores:

Refunds and Exchange

Once you send your orders back to them, you will get a refund to your account as soon as they have processed your returned items. The process may take up to 10 working days to show in your bank or credit account.

Monsoon does not process exchange through their warehouse, but you are welcome to visit their in-stores.
