Lisbon
- December 6-13
- £26 return
- WizzAir
Lisbon is a city that works in two ways: if you want to enjoy its beauty and feel the vibe of the city, you go out and walk around the city, but if you want to enjoy the nightlife and party, then you go to the night clubs and bars. This way you will enjoy the best of both worlds: sightseeing and partying.
If you prefer to enjoy the beauty of the city, then I recommend you go walk around the city, you will enjoy the architecture, the colorful streets, the beautiful buildings, the statues, the old churches and the colorful neighborhoods. You should also get lost in the city and get to know its streets.
Rome
- December 2-9
- £22 return
- easyJet
The city’s great architectural and artistic treasures, like the Colosseum and the Pantheon, and its varied and lively food scene, make it one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. But to really get under the skin of the Eternal City, you should also take the time to explore its winding streets and alleyways, and to immerse yourself in the daily life of the city.
The best way to do this is to simply walk around. If you're looking for a guide to help you find the city's best-known landmarks, take a look at the 'Rome, in a Nutshell' itinerary.
Budapest
- December 13-21
- £13 return
- WizzAir
My favourite thing about Budapest is that it has a lot of thermal baths, which are a must-do for any first-time visitor. The first bath you come to is Széchenyi, which is a huge, modern bath with a variety of pools, a slide, and a sauna. Next is Gellért, which is a huge bath with a casino, a slide, a pool, and a sauna. The last one is Király, which is a smaller, more traditional bath with a sauna and a pool.
Vienna
- Dec 6 - 14
- £17 return
- WizzAir
Bike down the Danube, take a boat ride or kayak, visit Schönbrunn Palace, go to the Wiener Volksoper, enjoy some cake at the Sacher, go to the Rathaus, visit the Kunsthistorisches Museum, walk along the Ringstrasse, drink coffee on the Naschmarkt, visit St. Stephan’s, visit one of the local breweries, check out the Hofburg Imperial Palace, try Sachertorte at Demel, go to the Albertina, visit the Naschmarkt... oh I could go on!
Nice
- December 9 - 16
- £25 return
- Ryanair
Nice is a fantastic place to visit on holiday. The city boasts an array of attractions that have something for everyone. The Promenade des Anglais is a famous boulevard that cuts through the city and right on the coast. In the winter there is a wonderful Christmas market here where you can indulge in mulled wine and delicious treats.
Málaga
- December 13 - 22
- £26 Return
- WizzAir
I haven't been here. Looks pretty!
Kraków
- December 5 - 12
- £19 Return
- Ryanair
The best thing to do in Krakow is to walk around and admire the old buildings. It has a lovely old town center with many old churches and squares. The old town is surrounded by walls and there’s a small river (called the Wisla) running through the city.

Could you see if there is any good deals from Manchester Airport please or even Liverpool. Many Thanks
TrayWilliams learn how to use google flights. Play around with it. If you go to it and type departing airport as Manchester and then input dates. Don't put destination. If you click search flights it'll take you to a map and show you the prices and then at the top there is filters for direct, number of passengers etc... Play around with Google flights. Good to learn to find some cheap flight deals.
Do you know if I was to get a UK to UK flight if I'd have to do the covid testing. I am double jabbed.
Thanks for sharing. I definitly have a look at the destinations. It is good to dream about holidays again.
Would love to be able to jet off somewhere on holiday but very busy with work at the minute
