With the new one now out , I would suspect these will be going for far less in the next few weeks ? I would suggest a "hit price " of £180 -£190 if you are not in a rush? Maybe even a star of Black Friday at £150 ish ? something to consider ?

I bought the oled for my son for Christmas with the student discount offer when it first came out for pre-order. From what people are saying, there isn’t much difference but my boys was the first model with the rubbish battery and had started drifting in games despite replacing the joy con thingies so we decided on the oled but these are still fabulous value. I can’t believe there is still no flowing stock of PS5 yet

emmabeckz Not a gamer but thinking of starting once the days get too cold for my normal pastime ! (I'll be a fair weather golfer this winter 🙄) .

Obviously supply constraints (the slow boat from China amid chip shortages ) will affect what Xmas "must haves" will be available (and at what price ) .

Luckily I am past the age of having to rush around to find the "must have " present . Took me 3 months to get a Motocaddy at a decent price !

I totally empathise with those who "need ? " to get these must have items amid these shortages .

I realise it's not the same (I was happy with a Book token in my child hood ) - but perhaps an Amazon or Currys gift voucher might be an acceptable alternative ? Knowing the recipient can get want they want (almost certainly at a better price ) in January ?

Perhaps I am just too obsessed with getting stuff at vastly reduced prices ? I buy ridiculously overpriced golf stuff - but only when I can get 30 -40 % off . 😀
