Temperature swings force the whisky in and out of the wooden cask staves during aging much more than in a more controlled environment
After 10 years the whisky is finished in rum barrels, resulting in a complex yet very smooth whisky
Pouring a medium amber it is fragrant with aromas of caramel, clove, prune and spice. The palate is round and warm, with notes of toffee, spiced caramel and dried fruit
