I totally agree with your thinking, I might just invest in on as my son keeps moaning about the wifi when gaming, if it doesn't work it's no great loss.
djsez786 UK model arrived earlier, but I’m already concerned about performance: it seems to relay only about half the speed of the router on the ground floor! I’ll keep an eye on it for a week or two, but if it doesn’t measure up, it’ll go back as an inadequate performance return!

So are these the same as we have bought before ? You plug one into downstairs where hub is and one upstairs and pair them together ? Cos we have never found any work
HelenCoxon You plug it in adjacent to your router, follow the instructions to add to your network, then move to a position where signal strength has been poor. It works, but saps speed, I fear!

I have one from Lidl which doesn't work very well and emits a low level buzzing noise. Choose carefully.
