The bike weighs just 9.9 kg, with its aluminium components! With 8 speeds and lugged tyres, it's the perfect bike for improving at mountain biking.

Seems a decent kids bike but kids outgrow bikes quickly and it is always amazing how cheap such bikes can go for secondhand. I've seen fantastic kids bikes go sub £50 at times on facebook marketplace etc. Always check out what is available locally. Also this appears to have decent freehub gearing but kids are light and even freewheels seem to last a long time with such light riders. Is this a bit over-spec'd for a kids bike? The other day I saw a child's bike outside a house just stating 'free' it wasn't comparable to this in components but it was the same size and was a BMX style bike so the rear brake was a coaster style brake that just needed you to reverse the pedalling direction to brake. Very low maintenance. Much easier to maintain with a single gear too and capable of far more abuse. This bike has quite high maintenance requirements especially if you have a kid that doesn't treat it well.
