had these bottles a few times now and really nice thanks for sharing will take a little peak later
If the RRP is £5.50 then it's not a good
deal as it makes them £6.50 each.
And they were NEVER £58.50 for 6 bottles, that's ridiculous!
The thing to understand RachaelKenny is that that Recommended Retail Prices (RRPs) are set by the manufacturers, not by retailers. So Amazon has no control over the RRP. Amazon can only control what price it chooses to sell at.
As to “never“ being £58.50, here they are at Wine Pig at £59.99.
Thanks for highlighting my typo!
Johnny never was the wrong word. I've never seen this wine for
More than £8 in a supermarket.
RachaelKenny It was £8.25 a bottle in Morrisons (now on offer at £6.50 - the same price per bottle as this Amazon deal) - Of course you also get Free Delivery with Amazon
The other thing of which to be careful when choosing Campo Viejo Rioja is the grape variety used: everyone seems to know Tempranillo, but less so the often used Garnacha. Prices differ between the two varieties, before even taking into account the age/treatment of the resultant wines (Crianza, Reserva, etc) - which may not be immediately obvious when grabbing a bottle or case off the shelf!
This wine is delicious I always notice the price goes up and down a lot in supermarkets well worth purchasing if you see it down
