Are they good? I always wanted to get these but also always opted for bottles that have a screw on top or flip top so I don't get mud on it on the bike because I think the mouth piece is open on these.
cookiewithcarro I love this brand for bottles n food storage ....you pull up the top or twist depending on which design it is.... but as for worring about get mud on it on bike... get a small medicine cup 10mml from a chemist for a few pence... put 2 small holes in side ...thread thin elastic throw and knot it...make it so it hold the med' cup in place by elastic tied under bottle... but highly reccommend all products from this company.... hope my tip is of use to you xx
Good tip in a pinch but so much faff haha, thank you though, love creative people with clever ideas like that. I was a big fan of sistema up until I started carrying cooked lunches in their boxes and had them spill all over my bag. Some of the containers are good but you cannot trust the others. Lolly1967
cookiewithcarro I have been fortunate then.... I have never had that happen to me...... but appreciate your comment xx
The problem is only with sauces or salad dressings, or fruit that after a while produces more juices and the boxes that do not have a clip on every side. They are fine for dry stuff. Lolly1967
This is a great price reduction..does anyone have experience with these Bottles? I'm looking for a water bottle ..all the ones I have at home would always end up leaking in my bag .. I wonder if this particular one is leak proof?
I went through several bottles by now, and I had a great one from wilko several years ago but I dropped it and it broke. I have a very pink "polar gear" bottle that I use now at home that is good and my fave is a sistema one but a different style.
The sistema one is this one https://www.lyreco.com/webshop/ENIR/sistema-tritan-water-bottle-black-600ml-product-000000000012442691.html?context=more-result (not necessarily from this place, i think I paid £4 in asda about 2 years ago), it's easy to open the mouth piece quickly and the mouthpiece is fully covered. It has a rubber seal that goes onto the mouth piece to seal it. Never leaked for me however I carry it in a side pocket of my backpack more or less upright. Its 600ml and there are bigger ones too. I find the 600ml to be just right for gym classes.
https://www.picnicware.co.uk/product/polar-gear-450ml-hydro-freeze-bottle-with-ice-stick-in-berry/ this is my other bottle - it's a bit more hassle because you have to unscrew the top, however it's what definitely keeps it leak proof. It's a tiny bit too small for me but still good (I removed the ice pack so it may add some mililiters to the volume). Proper seal on the bigger screw on top as well and the connector is handy for carrying it.
We already had several smaller copies.
Buying larger bottles, convenient for us adults.
Water does not take on the taste of plastic and the sealing is perfect
Lolx never thought of it not sure how the alcohol would react with the plastic tho, your beer could taste a bit plastic...
Taste plastic? Don't drink it and don't like the taste so would not know! mrgoggll
