I purchased one of these last year. It works amazing, however you can not control the flow and in full sun it goes absolutely everywhere. It is perfect for kids in their paddling pool and creates lots of fun for an excellent price, but wouldn't recommend for anything else.
Good point, I was thinking of using it as a sprinkler toy for dogs, it is really tempting but can't be sure the dogs will even know how to approach it!

This isn’t a bad price for a solar fountain. Think I might give it a go and put it in a larger container. Thank you for posting.

Looks great in my bird bath, unfortunately when its sunny, the bath empties in 30 minutes as fountain is uncontrollable.
