What to spend your Toys R Us gift card on before it goes bankrupt
Toys R Us has filed for bankruptcy protection in the US and Canada, the BBC reports.
The firm's European operations are not part of the bankruptcy proceedings and Toys R Us says it does not expect any immediate impact on its UK stores.
However, that hasn't stopped parents with unused Toys R Us gift cards going on a spending spree, just in case.
When a company goes bankrupt, gift cards are often unable to be spent and difficult to get a refund for.
