Thanks for sharing. Will get these for the kids. I can’t use them always end up nearly breaking my teeth with them. Don’t know why or how.
Hi, don't wanna be pushy but I'm not sure if metal straws are good for kids. We had a couple cases in the past few years at our surgery with children damaging the roof of their mouth with the rigid straws, lots of blood and really unpleasant, age range was between 10 and 16.
I use a regular plastic straw (though the thicker one) and reuse it for ages until it's completely bitten, I also only use it for water so it stays clean for longer with a rinse from time to time.
cookiewithcarro thanks for sharing, I haven't thought about that. I just bought one of these for my 4 Yr old daughter. I will be vigilant now. Can't find the old plastic straws anywhere...
I haven't specifically looked for them, I maybe use 5 a year in total and still have plenty bought outside of England, probably still before the change, however I had a look on amazon when you said you can't find them and they seem to have the regular bendy straws still available. GenkaBozhinova
I looked some more and there seems to be a plenty supply on amazon of the regular straws, they may get expensive or less accessible in the near future though. GenkaBozhinova
I also found by accident that there are quite some reusable silicone straws available - this seems much safer than steel for anyone, not just children. Were I to lose access to the regular ones, I think I would go for the silicone straws! GenkaBozhinova
They come with cleaning brushes and storage items just like the metal ones. However I would probably have to go through a similar number because of my biting problem
Reusable straw or mugs are nowdays very "trendy",because are "eco-friendly" and help to limit plastic production.
This is quiet amazing straw using for a party. I remember the lady that I looked she used this kind of an stainless straw. Whom she loved it so much.
Great thanks for these . Been looking for some reasonably processed ones for ages!! Cheers!!
I was thinking to buy these. Thank you so much for sharing the deal with us. Happy that it comes with the cleaning brush.
I've always wanted to buy a pair of reusable straws but just never got around to doing it. This seems to be a good find as the price is really reasonable. Thank you for sharing
