This company had the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. From delaying helping with problems till the cooling off period ends, to charge for an engineer visit (free one) to fix their own installation problems, and trying to charge me for TV services when I bought my own YouView box elsewhere 2 years before, which is a free service. Underhanded, always billing issues, constant arguments, avoid them. Pay more and go with a better company who aren't so much hassle. I was with them 12 months and it felt a lifetime, 24 month contract sounds a nightmare.

Dannycnew I completely agree, we used them for 24 months and are Internet service was non existent, customer service was hopeless and they also charged me for an extra month and sent bayliffs after me when I refused to pay! We actually pay less now and have a better service from a different provider.

Midnightflower 24 months is a long time tho, they really are awful, I pay more with Virgin but get better internet and TV package included but it's reliable and I rarely have to call them. My internet service was the same with Talk talk almost nothing, couldn't even use BBC iPlayer

Dannycnew They tricked me 😥 when I first started making complaints they said I didn't have a high enough connection, so they upgraded it on a new 18 month contract, but it never got any better. Unfortunately a mistake but I won't make it again! We've got Vodafone now and we've not had to many issues. I think the key is to research the specific area you live in for the best for your area. But Talktalk just seem universally useless and charging extra months at the end of the contract seems to be quite common Unfortunately 🙄

Midnightflower yeah they tricked me too, I called in 14 day cancellation period 3 times, they said it is just settling in, speed will improve. And kept saying call in x days till my 14 days was over, then told me I never requested to cancel or complained. And yes I wish I had read the reviews before signing up with them

Totally agree. Poor customer service and still receiving scam phone calls after 6 years of leaving them. Wouldn't go with them if it was free.

Two years! Soon your problems should start. You will find that those who have been with them a few years (as I was) can't get the low prices etc that new customers are often offered to lure them in*. This company might though make you some special deal to keep your custom but will forget they made the deal a few months later.

*Note even part of this offer mentions new customers only. That's how they reward loyal customers.

You don't necessarily need to pay a bit more to go somewhere else, I didn't and am paying less than I was paying a few years ago for much slower broadband,

The 24 month contract I am currently on with VF will have averaged out at less than £20 a month, with a speed between 50 and 60mbps. The contract I was on with TalkTalk was costing £25 a month I rarely got a speed exceeding 10 mbps.

The only truthful thing TalkTalk ever told me was it would cost me more to sue them to honour their side of the agreed contract than it was worth, they still owe me over £500 (refused to let me leave the contract). The contract I entered £25 a month would have been costing me over £40 a month if I'd started to pay for the things they started charging for (supposedly free for length of contract) a few months after the contract started.

Three words of advice regarding TalkTalk: AVOID AVOID AVOID.
