I bought one of these for my sons Christmas. He'd been asking for one for a few years now and i finally gave in. Best money ever spent!

I'd struggle to recommend this due to the age of components

The graphics card was released 9 years ago in Jan 2016, with a third generation i5 processor which was released around 2012 😱

Very very very old, and in computing terms things have moved on so much since then

Really check the requirements for any games you want to run before purchasing this

They state intel 3rd gen but then include LGA1151 in the description. If its Intel 3rd gen then surely LGA1155 motherboard which is older. Also LGA1155 are the cheapest motherboards on aliexpress and this is clearly one of those. Another give away is the 6 USB 2.0 sockets but no USB 3.0 which again is another sign of one of those budget LGA1155 motherboards.

Those cheap motherboards typically have a NVME slot built into them and really this needed at least a 128GB NVme included for fast booting speeds even if main storage was a HDD. The GT710 performs much slower than many laptops nowadays of a similar price which will use far less power.

This has been poorly configured as a budget gaming pc. It should have had a better gaming card like a RX 480 and a 128GB NVme for maybe £270.

The GT710 is only about 350 gflops but a RX 480 which is close to 6 Teraflops in performance and about £40 more expensive than the GT710 but 17x more powerful. That would make this PC have the graphic performance around that of the Xbox One X, the flagship Xbox One console rather than similar to the old Xbox 360. The Xbox One X can play some games at 4K 60Hz but the Xbox 360 is 30fps 720p as a comparison. The Xbox One X is about 50% more powerful in GPU terms than the current Xbox Series S although much weaker in CPU performance. A 3rd gen i5 is enough to power a RX480 with great frame rates for many games just not the latest very CPU intensive games.

Ultimately it should have been more expensive but with a different choice of components because as it is it is not a gaming pc.
