Looks to be a nice compact e-bike. Some of the positives here are strong double wall rim wheels, aluminium frame, geared hub motor for lightness, improve torque and freewheels without drag when motor not on.

Battery stores within the frame and appears to have a lock mechanism. You get disc brakes which cope better with rain and have greater stopping power.

There is another colour option here;

Advantages of folding bikes are;

Easily stored and carried so could suit someone who lives in a flat or has limited space either at home or at work.

Quickly adjusts to any height rider so could be used by many members of the same family who can share the bike.

The main disadvantage is it is only 24V and 24Vx8.8Ah gives you a figure of 211.2 Wh (watt hours) so battery capacity isn't huge. The bike uses fairly standard parts so repairs and upgrades are quite easy. You get a kickstand and mudguards but no rear rack. The handlebar stem is height adjustable but the handlebars are not adjustable for angle.

Viking bikes typically have a total load capacity of about 120kg I think so for riders up to about 100kg allowing for the 20kg weight of this bike.

Bear in mind the small wheels work well with a 24V system as folding bikes are low geared anyway so hill climbing should be fine, the bike won't be as fast on flat roads. This shouldn't be confused with ultra-budget e-bikes like the Assist model at Halfords that only has a single gear and the frame isn't foldable. The battery capacity is less and is below 250W rating, more like 180W. That bike would likely struggle with hills as it only has a single gear.

Still available but now £50 more. Still a very competitive price though.

Altered price to the current price, still a great deal for the spec. Not many sub £500 ebikes available and those that are, are often far more basic than this.
