Great price! But please be aware that I tried to redecorate my bathroom grout using these and one pen only covers a very small area. One small wall took me three pens, so please be mindful of how many you would have to buy. If you are using them to clean up small areas then I think that would be great, but otherwise I would stick to buying the grout you want premixed and do it yourself properly!

Agree.

However, if you want to whiten (or colour) up your wall tile grout, you can actually use good old emulsion paint.

First clean any mould off and dry the area. Then :

Just put a blob on your finger, and rub it in, then immediately wipe of the excess.

And no : it doesn't wash off.

I have not yet tried it on the floor, or the shower area, but l can assure you that the ones l have done look very perky, clean and bright.

Yup. A great little hack.

Make sure you use thick matt emulsion.

If you want a couple of examples, just let me know.

Stapmevitals my dad used to have a decorating company and he used oil - based paint just like you described (I'm not sure if it's different from emulsion) on kitchen tiles when a client wanted to clean them. He did it at home several times too, to the point it would not work anymore. He's on LD too, I will ask him if it worked on bathroom tiles too (we have wood in the bathroom).

Emulsion, is water based paint and easier to handle and clean up, and l imagine one of the super tough kitchen/bathroom/scrubbable/steam resistant paints would be more robust in a damp environment. The beauty of emulsion is that you really scub it into the grout so it leaves a thin impregnated film on the original grout, and the clean up is blissfully easy.

Simple to colour change too, as water based products adhere easily to other water based products (if clean). Hope that helps... cookiewithcarro
