Why is my Wightlink Discount Code Not Working?

There might be a number of reasons why your Wightlink discount code isn't working:

  • The voucher code might have expired: Make sure to check the expiration date of your Wightlink voucher code. If it has already passed, sadly, you won't be able to use that code.
  • The discount code may not apply to your booking: Not all promo codes can be used for all types of bookings. Some may only be valid for specific routes, dates, or services. Therefore, you should verify that your booking meets the specific terms and conditions set by Wightlink.
  • The discount code may have been entered incorrectly: Codes need to be entered precisely as they appear, with attention to capital letters, numbers or symbols. Even a slight typo can result in the Wightlink code being unaccepted.
  • The discount code might not be valid in your region: Some discount codes only work in specific locations. Just make sure that the promo code applies in your area. If you're ever in doubt, Wightlink customer service will be able to help.

Alternatives to Wightlink

  • Redfunnel - A competing ferry service offering routes between the mainland and the Isle of Wight, similar to Wightlink. They regularly offer deals and special offers on travel.
  • Hovertravel - The only passenger hovercraft service in the UK providing connections between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. It's an alternative to Wightlink for those who prefer speed over traditional ferry travel.
  • Brittany Ferries - While not providing direct competition for Wightlink’s Isle of Wight routes, Brittany Ferries operate a wide range of ferry routes to Spain and France. It is a good alternative for residents seeking holiday deals across the channel.
  • P&O Ferries - A leading ferry operator offering services to several European destinations, P&O Ferries provides an alternative for those looking for holiday journeys other than to the Isle of Wight. They often have deals and discounts on ferry crossings.

I love getting to the Isle of Wight on this ferry and it’s really exciting as I know that I am going to have a lovely holiday at the end of it. We usually catch it from lymington and there is a food and drink service and it takes about 45 minutes to cross. Really great ferry and great experience as well.

If you want to holiday in the Isle of Wight then this is the ferry service you could use. They have four different routes to choose from and I have been on two of them and have been happy with both ferries. The prices are reasonable and it is a lovely crossing and does not take too long.
