The resin sculptures are the result of a complete ‘Made in Italy’ research for the creation of objects suitable for decorating contemporary and modern environments with taste, colour and fantasy. Most of these are made in resin, a material that is now widely used in the production of furnishings. The process to create a resin sculpture is completely craftwork: the ideas of our designers are sketched on paper which our talented sculptors than follow to create clay models by hand, also called “soul”, which in turn serve for the construction of rubber molds. A solidifying liquid is added to the resin and poured into the molds. Once the resin is hardened, the molds are opened and the rough sculpture is removed. It then has to be cleaned of burrs or residues of the work, checked, smoothed and washed manually before it can be decorated. When the surface of the piece is perfect, a spray of dense primer paint is applied to form the base for the final decoration, which will differ according to the effect desired opaque, gloss, metal or other. If the sculpture cannot stand alone, it will be mounted on a marble support to increase stability. You can now understand how much manual work is involved in creating these pieces before they are ready to enhance the beauty of your home, and how different their value is compared to objects in plastic produced in large quantities with automatic machines without the added value of craftsmanship. Each sculpture is supplied with a certificate of craftsmanship.
