Amazon Begins Delivering Free Sample Products

Available from Amazon USA
Comment50

Amazon has begun delivering free samples to select customer as part of an advertising drive

The products are individually curated based on past purchases

It has also extended it Key delivery service to customer garages

Amazon has begun sending shoppers free samples of products individually curated to their tastes amid its latest advertising initiative.

Select Amazon customers, who are not necessarily Prime members, are being sent samples of items like grocery products and pet food free of charge by the retail giant.

It is understood that Amazon uses a shopperโ€™s purchasing history to determine which samples it will leave on their doorstep.

I believe you're just automatically signed up for it. If you click on the get freebie button the only thing that we see there is an 'opt-out' at any time link.

Re reading the artical you donโ€™t apply by ๐™ฐ๐š–๐šŠ๐šฃ๐š˜๐š— will pick who gets a free item from their past buying history. Seems fair to me, those that use it & those that donโ€™t get nothing!

Amazon says it surprises select customers with samples, adding that you donโ€™t have to be a Prime member to receive freebies. Examples of products that have historically been sampled include coffee, dog food and granola bars.

That's a link to Amazon.com though. Not Amazon.co.uk which is different isn't it? I always by through .co.uk and cannot use my prime on .com, Is there a preference page for .co.uk. I've looked and couldn't find one.

so amazon sends you samples on your shopping habits the only problem is that the sample programme is only on amazon, com not on the .co.uk site so you have NO shopping habits if your on the UK site, pretty pointless really.

I think this is USA only, certain features have not been rolled out in UK yet. I'm a prime member.

I looked at the link and took me to .com not. UK site.

I might be wrong but it's not UK as far as I could see.

Guys, for those of you wondering I think every Amazon customer is automatically signed up for this? Clicking on the Get Freebie button leads us to the FAQ which details that people can 'opt-out' at any time. Usually things like 'opt-out' aren't used by companies unless they've already done something on your behalf.
