tumblespots I never had any problems with Halfords in my area . But Kwikfit are fraudsters . They offer free MOT and fail car until unnecessary work done . Managers get commission for all unnecessary work. I once failed MOT with them but passed it with another garage . Luckily I did not allow them to dismantle my car . Always take car to trusted garage for MOT. Otherwise fraudsters offer free MOT and then pressure you to change parts unnecessarily and will deliberately damage your car just to make a sale .
PaulaG You've only been with us since December 2020 and I haven't posted it during that time due to the problem about extra work...so how would you know? 
samoflondon Sadly, I wouldn't trust Halfords as they couldn't even put a bike together properly when we bought one from them. Never had any problem with Kwikfit, although we've not used them for an MOT.

You are right though, he/she forgets that he/she shouldn't know what went on before he/she joined LD

PaulaG OMG mrmac, this is so funny, you wouldn't be a good detective that's for sure, do you know how many people joined on that day? lots and lots as it was around the time LD was founded, I would be curious to know about the other striking similarities that you discovered Also, if you could share some tips with us on how to open multiple accounts as you are a bit of an expert yourself, although it didn't go well for you in the end

Dont do it guys. Im an amature mechanic, and every single car thats been to my local halfords for an mot has failed with a huge list of fails. All total rubbish, and most cleared its mot in a diffrent test center with out even a tyre kick needed.
