As part of Birmingham Weekender, Birmingham Hippodrome presents Les Commandos Percu (France) and Deabru Beltzak (Spain) in Clash of Drums.
Out of nowhere, drummers march towards each other, their drumsticks twirling and their colourful faces sizing each other up for a confrontation of rhythm and light. The wild parade leads to the stage - light and fire fill the skies as the explosion of sound brings everyone together in this exciting spectacle.
Catch The Lions of Punjab for a special performance beforehand. The Midlands based Bhangra group will perform high-energy folk dance to the beats of dhol drums in their exciting signature style.
Clash of Drums takes place on Eastside Green (opposite Hotel La Tour).
Entertainment starts at 7.30pm with Clash of Drums starting at 8.30pm. Gates open from 7pm - to guarantee entry with your ticket please arrive before 8pm at the ticket holders entrance lane. After 8pm, entry cannot be guaranteed as walk up admission will be in place.
