The law has changed. Previously people were charged anything up to £50 for a copy of records from G.Ps or other HCF. As of the 25th of May they can no longer charge. This is good news for people on low incomes. They will be able to charge if you ask for duplicate copies..or excessive records or if you request again within an unreasonable time frame. So only request when you need them. The link explains what is happening. There is also ample advice on the net.
