I know it's a bit niche but it might help some people.
Looks like you've gotta sign your school up for it (or inform any teachers you know about this to pass on to the headteacher of the school, as it is the school themselves that need to sign up, not students) and they will allocate free SIMs to help keep the kids keep up to date and able to access the internet for their studies

Free data for 350,000 students
We all know how important education is, but there are too many children and families struggling to stay connected digitally to their schools.
We've already given 250,000 free data SIMs to 7000 participating schools as part of our schools connected plan, and we're now offering an extra 100,000 SIMs - with 30GB data for 90 days - to help students #KeepConnecting across the UK.
We've also expanded the plan to include colleges, as well as primary and secondary schools - even more reason to get involved. Terms apply
Why we need to #KeepConnecting
Headteachers and education trusts across the UK have highlighted home connectivity as a major concern for students that have fallen behind in their studies due to COVID-19 restrictions, particularly in deprived areas.
These free SIMs will help those students most in need to access their work from home, catch up on lost learning during school holidays and continue their education if they are required to isolate.
