Had a look around this one. if you don't want to give them your postal details, they do ebooks to download. I once was led to a buddist temple by a cat, only I didn't know it was a buddist temple and what turned out to the the head monk, I thought was a weird man trying to lure me in with a cup of tea. It was a boat on the river which i didn't know was my town's buddist temple and I had no idea he was monk. Found out afterwards. I ran off whilst he went to boil the kettle. there went my chance of enlightenment
OMG ShellyAnn, what an unexpected but utterly brilliant story, I have this amazing vision in my head now, thanks for that one, it has brightened a miserable rainy day! x
JoTarpley Thanks. I was very into photography (need to start this up again next year) and I was on a photography trip to the local docks and me being me, I see a nice kitty and I want to pet it but it walked off so I follow it up the gang plank of this light house ship and a man comes out and says ' I'll put the kettle on' and goes back inside. I panic thinking who is this and I'm not going below deck with a stranger. I then saw a story in the local press that it was the buddist temple and he was the head monk. here's a picture of the actual lighthouse boat.
OMG LOOK at that boat, how amazing!! I love this story!! Did he not look anything like a Monk then, did nothing give it away at the time? Mind you, if I'd seen the Kitty, I would have followed it too but probably not up a gang plank
Absolutely wonderful ShellyAnn what a beautiful story . I absolutely love cats so I would of been intrigued by this cat too and the fact that you were led to a buddist temple is amazing and met a monk is amazing and that he kindly offered you tea .
neeshK It's a classic story in which only I could completely miss how fate was looking down on me that day. I was so unaware of the significance of this. Needless to say I haven't reached zen or found enlightenment. Most of the time I'm so unaware of what is going on around me the Buddha himself could be sat next to me on the bus and I wouldn't notice.
ShellyAnn sometimes these things happen we donβt realise the significance of things at the time they happen but afterwards. I believe thereβs an important message in that story for you . I always believe every think happens when its the right time and when your ready to let it in your life . I hope you find your zen and enlightenment. Have a lovely Sunday
neeshK I agree. Thank you. I need to get back into mediation and the spiritual side of my life. I'm awaiting the date of my house move from my solicitor, then i'm back home with my parents for a while, but I have another house with the offered accepted but its in probate, so when its ready I'll be moving to there, doing it up, etc, so whilst I do want to move forward spiritually, I am in the land of cardboard boxes and DIY and solicitors at the moment. Hope you get lucky this week with freebies and comps.
Well done ShellyAnn, really pleased for you! Hoping you've had a reply now it's over a week! x
Hope you do better than me today, I've been waiting all day for a delivery from DX, whoever they are, all flippin' day, just given up!! Good luck with yours tomorrow ShellyAnn x
