Free eye tests for over 60s
Once you’re 60, you can also get free eye tests courtesy of the NHS. If you bring proof of your age to your appointment, one of our opticians will go through the NHS form with you so you can begin having free eye tests.
Eye tests are recommended:
- Every two years when you’re over 60 years old
- Every year when you’re over 70 years old
Not only is it important to make sure your prescription is up-to-date, but eye tests can also help to identify conditions like cataracts and age-related macular degeneration. To help maintain your eye health, browse our collection of eyecare products.
If you need a new prescription you can book an eye test with us via the button below. You will be taken to a new page where you can choose your date, time and closest branch.
If you already have a prescription from another opticians you can bring this to any Boots Opticians when purchasing your frames.
You can click and collect from one of 2,200 Boots stores for £1.50.
Standard delivery costs £3.50 or free when you spend £25 or more.
