Admission is Free to Bolton Abbey and this wonderful Yorkshire attraction has a lot to offer for a full day whatever your age. (New for 2018 is the Pirate ship and beach)
Parking is £10 for the whole day
There is of course the priory church and ruins but also so much more
The famous stepping stones
For kids the welly walk a fantastic walk for kids with rope ladders to climbs, tunnels, slides and much more
Also for younger kids the new Pirate ship and mini beach
For older kids/ adults There are nature trails in the Strid Wood
For those that like to explore older kids/teens/adults (Bolton Abbey recommend walking boots for these areas)
The Valley of Desolation and on to the moors to find simones seat
If you pack your swimsuit you can go for a dip in the river as well
There are different car parks you are able to move between them on 1 ticket but it’s worth planning your visit for which will be nearest for the attractions you are planning to explore.
The website has maps and lots of information
I recommend packing a picnic as the pavilion cafe is very expensive. The toilets are located at the car parks. This attraction does require a fair amount of walking so bare this in mind with younger kids or those with mobility issues.
