You can benefit from a free NHS-funded eye test, great offers and high standards of care โ€“ all from the comfort of your own home.

You may qualify for a free NHS-funded eye test at home if you are unable to visit an

optician unaccompanied due to physical or mental disability, and are any of the following:

Aged 60 or over

Registered blind or partially sighted

Diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma

Considered to be at risk of glaucoma, as advised by an optician

Aged 40 or over and your mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter has been diagnosed with glaucoma

Receiving benefit *

Entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate

On a low income and named on a valid HC2 (full help) or HC3 (partial help) certificate

Eligible for an NHS Complex Lens Voucher (our optician will advise on the entitlement)

Our home visit service does not operate in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

* Income Support, Income-based Jobseekerโ€™s Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance or Pension Credit Guarantee Credit

thank you for sharing this my mother and father are both over 60 and my dad has diabetes so this may come in handy for them

It's definitely ideal for those who can't get to the optitions especially those with limited mobility issues. I also think that people who live in sheltered accommodation and care homes would be entitled to a free home eye test. Our eyes and our eyesight is very important as we only get one pair of eyes during our lifetime so it's very important for us all to care for our eyesight and our eyes. I am going to share this post on social media.

So true, you have to look after your body because if 'bits' fail or give you pain you can't just buy a spare part to replace it and as you get older most people are in pain here and there. ๐Ÿž Image
