Current and former army personnel free travel on Armistice Day, Sunday 11 November
Offer of free travel is valid across its entire network
To commemorate Remembrance Sunday, First Wessex is providing free journeys across its network to cadets, armed forces personnel and veterans travelling to Remembrance services.
The local bus operator has announced the concession in honour of all the fallen and the surviving veterans of conflict. To claim the free bus travel, all current and former armed personnel need to do is wear their uniform, medals or show their military ID card.
As a part of First Wessex’s support for Remembrance Sunday and the British Legion’s poppy appeal, many buses will feature poppies fitted to the exterior of the vehicle.
I think the UK should do a lot more for our armed forces. They are not respected in the same way like they are in America. If it wasn’t for them, who knows where we would be and we would all be speaking German!
We send our newsletter once a day with the very best deals, vouchers and freebies shared by our community. Make sure you don't miss all that lovely free stuff!
