I do agree, 60 would be better but my father does qualify and indeed likes to travel, there aren't many left like him though.
The goverment are more than generous. Pity they don't throw in the travel insurance. Now that would be asking. Clowns.
The real problem is that it doesn't matter which Government is in power, or who heads them, they are still ineffective as they don't live in 'real life'. Yet, these people who do live in glass houses seem to be able to throw all the stones (at us) that they want to! Isn't it a good job that we are all born equal.....
At 66yrs and 6 months old at present if Sept 2nd is always the annual cut off date. I would still miss it. They are so ******* generous. But we are the wealthy elderly generation according to the gov.
Yes, I believe that they have been talking about taking away other benefits from us (the elderley) too, TV licence is almost gone and there has to be more to follow... it's never good. When I was young they gave it all to the older generations now I am older they are giving it to the younger generations - plying them with temptation for votes. Don't the young realise that you are only democratic for ONE day every five years or so, after that you fend for yourself, they don't want to know.
