[PS4/Xbox One] Mortal Kombat 11 Free Trial

We’re happy to announce that from Oct. 11-14, Mortal Kombat 11 will have a Free Trial event on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This will include access to all multiplayer game modes, the first two chapters of the Story mode, the Krypt, Towers of Time and all of the base game characters. Players will also be able to try out recently added Kombat Pack fighters – Terminator T-800, Nightwolf and Shang Tsung – within the Towers of Time game mode during this event!

Should you decide to pick up the full game during the Free Trial or after it ends, you’ll retain any Story progress and customization options that you unlock as long as you play on the same account used during Trial.

When is the Free Trial?

The Free Trial will be available starting on Oct. 11 at 12:01 a.m. PDT.

The Free Trial will end on Oct. 14 at 12:59 p.m. PDT.

What platforms is the Free Trial available on?

The Free Trial will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

What territories is the Free Trial available in?

On Xbox One, the Free Trial will be available worldwide.

What content will players have access to during the Free Trial?

Players will have access to online and local multiplayer modes, the first two chapters of the Story mode, the ability to explore and earn unlocks in the Krypt, the Towers of Time mode and the ability to customize characters.

Players will be able to play and customize all of the characters included in the base game and will also be able to try out recently added Kombat Pack fighters (Terminator T-800, Nightwolf and Shang Tsung) via the Towers of Time game mode.

Does the Free Trial require a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership?

A PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership is not required to download or participate in the Free Trial and is not required to enjoy single player content during the Trial. However, these subscriptions are required to participate in online multiplayer matches during the Free Trial.

How do I access the Free Trial?

FOR PLAYSTATION 4:

Step 1: Turn on your PlayStation 4 and log in to your preferred account.

Step 2: Go to the PlayStation Store and select "Search" from the top menu.

Step 3: In the search field, type in “Mortal Kombat 11.”

Step 4: Select “Mortal Kombat 11 Free Trial” from the search results and then click “Download.”

Step 5: Once the download and installation process are complete, click “Start” to begin!

FOR XBOX ONE:

Step 1: Turn on your Xbox One and log in to your preferred account.

Step 2: Go to the Xbox One Store, then select “Search.”

Step 3: In the search field, type in “Mortal Kombat 11.”

Step 4: Select “Mortal Kombat 11” from the search results and then click “Free Trial.”

Step 5: Once the download and installation process are complete, click “Launch” to begin!
