Toy Story is a beloved movie for both kids and adults - but one super-fan is lucky enough to have his entire bedroom kitted out to look just like a set from the Pixar film.

Kerri Rundle, 27, from Truro, Cornwall, came up with the idea of transforming her son Coby’s room into the Toy Story haven after they watched the movie together.

The Tesco customer assistant, who is training to be a dog groomer, told LatestDeals.co.uk: “I came up with the idea when my son Coby, three, started liking Toy Story at Christmas after watching the second film. He then asked for lots of Toy Story toys with his birthday money.

“Then I suggested we did his room. One day while watching the film for what felt like the 500,000th time I saw Andy’s room with the clouds and I thought ‘Perfect - we will do it like that’.”

Kerri, who is also mum to Freya, nine, and Kyra, 15 months, set about designing the room to look just like Andy’s room, making sure to stick to a budget.

“At first I painted the walls all in baby blue,” she says. “I then hand-painted the Toy Story logo onto the wall with tester pots of paint from B&Q and then found stickers online but I realised it would work out very expensive.

“So I googled stencils and came across a site called Crazy Nate. I printed off the downloadable clouds and with a Stanley knife I cut out the cloud.

“I then taped the stencil onto the wall and sponge painted them on. I bought glossy pictures off Amazon for £2 each and then framed them when they got here for £6 a frame for four.

“I also purchased a Diamond Art Kit of Toy Story and completed that and framed it. I bought his bedding from ASDA for £13, and the toy box £20, lamp £24, and alien cushion £7, were from Dunelm. The Toy Story fleece blanket, £5, was from Tesco, and the cushion was from Facebook marketplace at £5.

“In total it cost me roughly around £100 to do. I still am saving to put wood-effect lino in and for a Toy Story rug that I have seen on Amazon!”

Kerri and Coby are absolutely delighted with how the room looks. Kerri says: “Coby loves it so much and looks forward to going to bed every night! I am in absolute love with it and I’m so pleased with how it's turned out.”

Before the room upgrade

Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, says: “Kerri’s amazing room transformation just shows that with a bit of creativity you can create a child’s dream bedroom on a budget. Take hints from Kerri and stencil to create a fantastic feature wall, and pick up accessories from the likes of eBay and Facebook marketplace for inexpensive options that are as good as new.”
